What should I look for in a security professional, and what kind of things does my dealer need to know?

First and foremost, a good security professional's primary concern should be the safety of your family. Period. They should be reliable and experienced, take pride in their work, and only sell and install products from a reputable manufacturer. The type of security you need can only be determined by discussing your lifestyle with your security professional, who will work with you to customize a system tailored to meet your needs after conducting a thorough evaluation of your home. For example, if you have young children, you may want a system that pages you when they arrive home from school. Maybe there are areas in your home that need extra protection, such as a baby's nursery, or a bedroom with a safe containing jewelry and other valuables. As a dog owner, you might consider adding a pet-immune PIR to your security package.
